2025 Shanghai International Biopharmaceutical Industry Week

BioShanghai Week 2026 will be held September 17–20, 2026 at Zhangjiang Science Hall, Shanghai.

Since its sixth edition, BioShanghai Week has become a iconic platform for biopharmaceutical innovation and industrial development. This year, for the first time, Report on the Work of the Government‌ designated the biopharmaceutical industry as an “emerging pillar industry,” explicitly calling for deeper integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation.

To better implement the mandate of “accelerating the innovative development of national high-tech zones” outlined in the 2025 Government Work Report, and to further leverage the leading and demonstrative role of the National Zhangjiang High-tech Industrial Development Zone, this year’s event is rebranded as “BioShanghai Week 2026,” with a vision rooted in Zhangjiang, radiating across China, and connecting globally.

Guided by the principles of “Professionalism, Internationalization, and Marketization”,  the conference will build a five-in-one core ecosystem spanning Industry + Clinical Research + Regulation + Capital + Cross-Border Trade. It will establish four major functional pillars — innovation achievement release, cutting-edge product showcase, industrial BD deal-making, and capital-financing empowerment. The conference is dedicated to establishing a new global benchmark for biotech business development, curating a world-class industry summit, and nurturing a vibrant industrial innovation ecosystem. By pooling premier resources, we are building a comprehensive global biomedical platform that integrates international exchange, strategic collaboration, and deal-making facilitation — establishing a new global benchmark for biotech business development, curating a world-class industry summit, and nurturing a vibrant industrial innovation ecosystem.

The overall framework of this year’s event features a “1+5+1+1” structure: one opening ceremony, five thematic tracks (Innovation & Integration, Clinical Translation, Capital Empowerment, Ecosystem Services, and Tripartite Synergy), one exhibition, and a series of Bio-Tours to local institutes and enterprise. This structure is designed to precisely meet the needs of scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, clinical PIs, and other stakeholders, fostering high-level exchange and pragmatic cooperation.
